If you’ve ever heard of Gay Polo or the GPL, I’m sure you’ve heard of the man behind the brand, Chip McKenney. He’s also the president of McKenney Media, which is a “strategic branding agency, with a primary focus on equestrian sports.”
His charisma and passion for helping others have made him a stalwart in the Wellington community. When the opportunity to get In The Air with Kirsten arose, he was excited to participate. “Kirsten asked if I’d like to go up with her on the plane and I said, um yeah!” said McKenney. His enthusiasm and love of Wellington is palpable, “What an incredible opportunity. We [Chip and his husband, Gus] love Wellington. We know every inch of it. Gus runs through the back trails of Wellington, so to see it from the air is just extraordinary.”

When asked what it was like to see Wellington from above, McKenney said, “Kirsten being a real estate professional in this market, I was just fascinated to see how it was all working in her industry. I think, to tell you the truth, maybe I conducted the interview inadvertently.” As we laughed through the interview, it’s clear that he has a passion for this community.
“Kirsten is a very competent, calm pilot. It gives you such a level of confidence, which really makes the trip enjoyable. And as a broker, Kirsten was able to point out all the areas and really have a command of where we were,” says McKenney, “I’d recommend that anybody go In The Air with Kirsten. Just to see the overwhelming beauty of Wellington as a whole; it’s incredible.”
